Its been a busy few weeks. We are getting closer to winding up cherry season and we have squeezed in a little fun these past few weeks.

We bought a different back pack because as much as I loved wearing the ergo Nico didn't like it. Nico likes to watch what we are doing and he couldn't see over our shoulders. So we bought this backpack so he can watch what we are doing and get something done. So here is Marc wearing it for the first time.....doing a little yard work.

Cherry Season is upon us and we have a new little helper! We have taken Nico to a few markets and he absolutely loves it! If only I could work and take care of Nico at the same time:-)! Last year I would put Nico in the front pack and work away.....this year it's a different story! Now I have to chase Nico up and down the market, and make sure he doesn't get into the cherries! He loves cherries and I have to watch how many I give him because if not....I pay!!!!! If you know what I mean:-)!

My Dad's birthday was week before last........so we had a birthday dinner for him. Nico's favorite song is "Happy Birthday" We sing it over and over again.......yes Nico sings it.....complete with blowing out the candle at the end...even if there isn't a candle:-)! Its really cute! He can almost sing the entire song........and he doesn't blow out the candle until the song is over.....and its Nico's birthday every time:-)!!!! I think he is like his mom.........loves his birthday!

We finally were able to meet Chase Dugo.....and what a little handsome dude he is! Nico was really cute with him.....he would look at him for the longest time and then touch him very softly.....pretty good for our little rough guy!

Well, here is a ton of pictures....this is why I have been so delayed in getting my blog updated. These are random pictures not in any order but this is what we have been up to the past 6 weeks!!!!!

We go to My Gym every week. Nico loves spending time there and we have made some friends. We are most excited that our friends Gianna and Jackie have joined us and we see them on a weekly basis! These are a few pictures that she took a couple of weeks ago.

We went to the Coldani's for a drink and to catch up with the Kern's and the Coldani's! We had a great visit-it was just too short! Here is Nico swinging on Giada's swing!

We went to Auntie Lexi's college graduation this weekend in L.A.-I wasn't very good about taking pictures but I did take a pic of the load it takes us to travel for a long weekend.

We then spent a night with Chris and Lauren. We had a nice visit, tons of laughs and a great dinner. We sure wish they still lived in Northern California. Thanks for such a fun night!

Meghan and Josh came for dinner one night and the kids were able to play.....its amazing how entertaining two one year olds are.

Mom and Dad had a weekend away. We attended Stagecoach 2010! Alright besides missing our son.....I think it might have been the most fun we have had! We can't recommend it enough! If you like country music and a huge party....you should go

We went to Santa Barbara for work but we also had a relaxing getaway before cherry season began! On our way home we stopped to have lunch with my college roommate and her girls Lexi and Madeline........great to see them!

While in Santa Barbara we took Nico to the zoo! He loved it! Here is our little Monkey

Our friends John and Monika welcomed Francesca Avansino into the world. We made a quick visit to meet her! She is beautiful.

Our sixth nephew Evan Philip was born on April 15th. We are getting very close to having our own baseball team!

My aunt Sharon turned 50 this past month. My uncle through her an amazing birthday party that I had a blast planning! I'm hoping to upload the video of pictures because I think I was too busy having fun that I forgot to take pictures!

Well its hard to believe that our baby is one and is now 13 1/2 months. Yeah, time has gotten away from me.......but you will see over the next few days as I update my blog why I'm so behind. I wasn't going to go back this far but I have had many requests to see the party pictures....I had so much fun going back and looking at the pictures since it had been awhile I got a little crazy with uploading!

Like Mother Like Son.....

Alright for those of you that really know me....know that the Easter Bunny is very scary and that you will not find an Easter Bunny decoration in my home during this time of year! So my girlfriend Meghan and I met at the mall to run some errands and we decided that we should not deprive our children from meeting the Easter Bunny....so we would take a quick picture. Keep in mind that Hannah and Nico met Santa Claus together and Nico was fine with Santa and Hannah was very unsure. Well we stepped into the picture area and Nico took one look at the Easter Bunny and he completely lost it........he was terrified! In fact, I don't think I have ever seen him this terrified! Meanwhile, Hannah thought the Easter Bunny was pretty cool and even took an egg from the Bunny. So I calmed Nico down and we thought we would go in for the pic........well as you can see from the picture below neither one of them were a fan..........you could find Meghan and I in the corner laughing hysterically! I'm sure we weren't looking like the best mother's in the mall! We have decided that until our kids are 18 we have started a new tradition! Hope you all get as big of a laugh out of this as we did and that you have a Happy Easter.

Fun in March before Nico turns 1

Once again......March has flown by...........and I'm behind. So here goes........this all happened before Nico's first birthday.......in between all this I was planning Nico's party....hence my delayed post.

We moved Nico out of his infant car seat the beginning of March. It was a bittersweet move for us. My back was breaking and he was outgrowing the seat but he is such a BIG BOY now and it makes me feel like I have a toddler rather than a baby.
My mom and I spent a couple of weekends making the sock monkey's for Nico's party.
I had a fun time (this was my first sewing project and I could see how this could become addicting. )

The second weekend we called in some help!!!!!! Thanks Gertie and Auntie JJ! It wouldn't have happened without you!

We headed to Stockton for Marco's 3rd birthday circus party. Everything was decorated adorable and its hard to believe Marco is 3 already. Nico had so much fun with all the kids!

So the next big news is...........Nico started walking a couple of weeks ago....so we got him a new pair of walking shoes but..........after we purchased the shoes he decided he prefers to crawl! I know its strange...........he was walking about 10 to 12 steps and preferred walking as his mode of transportation however we bought him new shoes and now he refuses to walk.........obviously I didn't put them on him anymore and he still prefers to crawl. Did this happen to anyone else? So strange.......so well see....he may be back to walking any day now!

We traveled to Hawaii for 10 days in February with Marc's family. We had such a fun trip and we made so many great memories. Enjoy pictures below...........

Fun in January

Once again we have had a very busy month! On top of some fun highlighted below I chased a very busy boy around the house, took him to my gym and had some play dates with Hannah (Meghan I need to get the pictures from you), and packed for our family vacation which we left for the beginning of Feb. So once again another month has passed. We started the month with my high school girlfriends coming to have a very fun weekend of the usual wine tasting, shopping, eating, dancing, reminiscing and laughing until our stomach's hurt. The crew below

I headed to Stockton to get my hair done and for Nico to get his 2nd haircut. Nico has a ton of hair for 10 months!

That night we went to see Katrina's beautiful new home for dinner. This was too funny not to share. I went to change Nico's diaper on the floor and her dog Nellie came over and laid beside Nico......like he wanted his diaper changed! Katrina is going to be very busy in a few months with two babies to take care of.

On January 15th Marc and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Its hard to believe we have been married for 5 years. My aunt kept Nico and I surprised Marc with an evening at the Kenwood Inn and Spa. We had a super relaxing evening and enjoyed dinner and each other's company. We were so ready to see Nico the next morning however. Would highly reccomend this Inn! So romantic and beautiful!

In January you could find us at least twice a week at Lucas's basketball games. Nico loves going to the game and is entertained by both the game and the cheerleaders! Here is a picture of Lucas with Nico after his game.

Nico loves his basketball hoop at his Aunties so I decided to try and take his 10 month picture in front of his hoop. Nico's latest developments over the past few months.

-Has taken a few steps (prefers crawling because he can get where he wants to go faster)

-Says a few words/sayings ......What does a cow say? Mooooooo...............Como fa Indian (what does an Indian do? In Italian) What does the fire say? Hot! and Mama Dada........

-Still isn't much of eater.........but likes Cheese and Yogurt!

-Sleeps almost 12 hours at night but we are lucky if we get an hour and half nap during the day (makes for a long day for mom)

-Is fascinated with other kids and Vino!

-Plays fetch with Vino's duck

-Loves opening any drawer or cupboard and emptying it!

- Has four front teeth on the bottom and top as well as a molar!

This is all I can think of right now!

Giada Coldani turned one so we attended her 1st birthday party! Its hard to believe she is one! This means Nico will be one before I know it!

December + Christmas=Long Post!

Merry Christmas!!!!! I know I'm late posting but I have been super busy. Having a baby and trying to keep the same pace of pre baby during the holidays has kept my head spinning! So here goes.........I will try to keep the wording short and sweet because there are tons of photos (what can I say......Nico's 1st Christmas)

After the Christmas party we headed to the Madrona Manor to the Dickens dinner. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the caroling.

Christmas this year we headed to Stockton to spend it with Marc's family. We had a wonderful time but I do think we will evaluate the traveling over the holidays in the future. It is very hard with a little one.....so well see what next year brings. I think we might be home for the holidays!

I was a good girl and Santa came to visit me (I know for some of you this is a shock!).............2009 was full of many first so Nico(I think he might have had an elf to help him:-) made a poster of all the many firsts that we had.............below the poster was a bunch of gifts for the future firsts that we will have...........(i.e. tissue for the first day of school and zout for the first sporting event). Marc was so thoughtful and generous......I really appreciated it.

This is a video at my parents this past weekend. We went to Fortuna to watch my cousin Lucas play in a basketball tournament. When we were home over Thanksgiving Nico was in love with this singing bear that his cousin Bryson has. He started dancing but I didn't get it on video......this time when we got to my parents he went straight for it and began dancing. He gets so excited that he falls down but gets right up to dance some more. This was too cute not to share. Oh yeah, and he is wearing his Uncle Lucas's jersey!

My dear friend Meghan finally had a day free so we could get the kids together. We had a wonderful afternoon talking about babies, eating lunch, watching the kids play, and catching up. Can't wait for our next play date.

Nico had his first trim around his ears by his Auntie Katrina a few weeks back. Nico did pretty well.......but I think Katrina did better:-)! She did a great job considering he was a wiggle worm and would have liked to have gotten his hands on the scissors and comb! He still looks sick in this picture. He was sick for 2 1/2 long weeks. We are glad he is better!

Then we were off to our friend Jordan's 3oth birthday! We had a wonderful evening in Fresno and are glad someone else has joined Marc in the 30 club!

Eight Months

Nico turned eight months a few days ago. I feel like I was just posting his two month pictures. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Nico's latest....

1. Started eating finger foods.......I needed a little encouragement from a friend who has a baby a couple weeks older than Nico.....I was panicked about him chocking. He loves puffs, baby mum mums and yogurt melts. He has gotten pretty good about putting them in his own mouth. Vino is a little bummed since he does the clean up work in the house :-)

3. He is still very smiley. He cracks us up.

4. Pulls himself up on every piece of furniture in the house. We have had many bumped heads and even a little blood. Poor guy!

5. Walks around furniture.

6. Lets go of furniture for a couple of seconds before falling on his bottom.

7. Pushes his Radio Flyer Wagon all over the house! (Mom and Dad broke down and gave him his Christmas present early) He couldn't wait for Christmas or should I say we couldn't wait for Christmas.

8. His best friend is still Vino! He loves him!

Nico at 8 months. This worked good for a few seconds before he spotted the blocks and then it was all over!

Nico's First Halloween Week!

Yes, its true....it was Nico's first Halloween week. There are many pictures so I will keep this short and sweet. We had such a fun week with our little lion!

Our first stop....baby sign class. We had all the kids wear their Halloween costumes. They are all close in age and it was so cute to see them all dressed up. Hannah the little chick, Kenzie the candy corn and Micheal the bear along with Nico the lion.

A couple weeks back we had a wonderful afternoon with our dear friend Fay and her baby Fooey. We spent the afternoon introducing Nico to Fooey. Nico was in love with Fooey and I think Auntie Fay has created a monster. As many of you know......Nico loves his dog Vino....well Fooey is just a bigger version of Vino. We played with Fooey and then had a wonderful picnic and then played with Fooey some more. Fooey is such a beautiful horse. Below are pictures from our fabulous afternoon.

at the pumpkin patch. On Saturday we took Nico to the Peter Pumpkin Patch in Petaluma. I used to work for Spring Hill Cheese and every year they have a pumpkin patch.....so it was only appropriate to head to my old stomping grounds. Nico had so much fun at the pumpkin patch. 7 Months

Nico turned 7 months last week. Once again, I can't believe my little baby is growing up SO fast. Nico is now a crawling machine. He is extremely busy (I don't know where he gets that from:-). I'm just now putting away his 3-6 month clothing and he is pretty much only wearing 6 months. He has 3 teeth on the bottom and there are signs that his top front teeth are quickly approaching. Nico still loves to be outside and loves for me to read to him. He can now entertain himself better because he can get to where he wants to go...less frustration. Our once wonderful sleeper has had a tough couple of weeks. He has been getting up at least once if not twice in the middle of the night..........we can't complain too much since he still sleeps 12 hours in total at night. We think the abnormal sleep patterns are due to teething and growth spurts. He still only takes 2-3 30 min cat naps during the day. His outdoor swimming lessons are finished and he has now begun baby sign language class. He pulls himself up on everything, is extremely aware of his surroundings and knows exactly what he wants. Who would have thought a 7 month old would A, know what they want and B, could throw a fit when they don't get what they want. Nico definitely has found his voice and says Dada and Hi.........although I don't think he realizes what he is saying. He is still extremely happy and quite the ham for photos. Nico's favorite part of the day is bath time! He is eating three meals a day........his favorite food is yogurt!

We headed to SLO two weeks ago to show our cousin Lucas Cal Poly. We have been selling Cal Poly for years and it was finally our opportunity to show him the beautiful town and campus. We also were prepping Nico for 18 years from now.......poor child........he may not have a choice :-) Marc and I had a wonderful time reminiscing about the good ole days and checking out all the additions to campus. It was a party weekend-Saturday after Marc's party we headed to Gianna Bordessa 1st Birthday party. It was so much fun to see everyone and we can't believe Gianna is already 1!

Bryson, Cute pics, and 6 Months

My sister welcomed her precious boy Bryson Robert Cole into the world on September 2oth. Nico and I made it just in time for me to see him born. What an amazing experience. Bryson weighed 5lbs 14 oz and 18 inches long. He is the cutest little peanut........I have already nicknamed him! Mommy and baby are doing great!

Nico is starting to pull himself up on the crib. I caught this precious face looking at me as I was folding his laundry.

Nico turned 6 months two weeks back. The doctor says he is doing great. He weighed in at 15lbs 12oz and is 26 inches in length. He is in the 25th percentile for weight and 35th percentile for length and 5oth percentile for head size. He is growing like a weed. He still continues to amaze us. We are so lucky to have such a happy baby.

Labor Day we headed to Fresno to stay with our friends Jordan and Sheri for the weekend. The Kerns joined us and we had such a fun and relaxing weekend. We enjoyed the pool, bowling, good food, friends and wine. Jordan and Sheri's new home is gorgeous and they are great hosts!We had a ball watching Dylan and Nico hang out together. I can only imagine what it will be like in another year! Let the fun begin!

Now for the baby bowling......Marc bowled with Nico in the front pack. Quite entertaining. It was right up Nico's alley (pardon the pun) he was moving, there was plenty of action, and lots of noise. The first game Marc didn't do so well....he bowled a 50. He was distraught to say the least...He claims it was the baby handicap! He redeemed himself in the next game and bowled a 138. He is going to kill me when he reads this in the morning haha the advantages to being the blog publisher!

Well imagine this we have been on the road these past few weekends. I think it is rare that we are ever home on a weekend. Nico has adjusted to traveling every weekend and if were home he wonders what were doing! Below are pictures from our travels the past few weekends........

A few weekends ago we went to Lake Berryessa with our friends Meghan and Josh their little girl Hannah, Matt and Lisa and my brother Rob. Meghan, Lisa and I are childhood friends. We had a very fun relaxing day on the boat....boy does Nico love the lake and Hannah!

Lexi's 21st Birthday, 5 Months, Visitors and Going to the Lake

Well it has been another crazy couple of weeks. My cousin Lexi turned 21 week before last. A bunch of her friends from school as well as family got together to celebrate Lexi turning 21. We started out wine tasting; that evening had a dinner and party at my aunts. Fun was had by all and we are so glad Lexi can do what she has been doing legally:-)!

Nico turned 5 months! Once again he just gets more fun everyday. The posed pictures are getting more challenging because now that he is sitting up he goes for everything in arms length! Nico has also gotten his first tooth. I haven't been able to capture it on camera but when he lets me I will be sure to post a picture. The tooth posed a challenge when it came to nursing but all and all its going good now.

Last Saturday Marc's aunt and cousins came to visit. We had a nice breakfast and visit with them. Below are a few pictures.

On Sunday we headed out the the lake for Marc and I's favorite day-boating, sun, friends, family, water and relaxing. Our friends Meghan and Josh met us on the lake with their boat so we had a patio boat and two ski boats. I tried wake surfing for the first time-it was so much fun and look forward to the new challenge.

Nico has started to sit up this week. This past week Nico has made big changes! He can sit-up...for short periods of time....he grabs EVERYTHING!!!!! He is quick-he almost got my hot soup the other day! We are still enjoying every second with the little guy and it just gets more fun!

Again, we have had a busy week......We left for Stockton on Thursday. Marc had meetings on Friday and we were dropping Nico off at Nonna and Nonno's house for his first slumber party. On Saturday our Nephew Stevie turned 4.....his birthday theme was Oakland A's-they are huge fans. Nico went to the party without us because we had our dear friends Tim and Chris's wedding. Below are pictures of the birthday party! Marc and I are Giant's fans so we thought it was only appropriate for Nico to be decked out in Giant's gear. As you can see they changed him when he arrived at the party.

On Saturday night Tim and Chris were married in San Francisco. The wedding was so beautiful and we had a great time. It was our first night away from Nico. It went well...I didn't shed a tear. Although the next morning I could hardly wait to see him!

When we went to Nico's 4 month appointment the Doctor gave us the green light to start rice cereal. Every doctor's philosophy is different and our doctor feels that after 4 months its up to the parents as to when they want to start. We discussed it further with the doctor and he felt Nico was ready for rice cereal! Let the fun begin! Nico liked the rice cereal the first few days and then I don't think he was too crazy with the texture....I don't blame him! I added some sweet potato to it and it he seems to like it better. For those of you that are feeding your babies or for those of you that have fed a baby......have you noticed that when you put the spoon up to the babies mouth you automatically open your mouth! Maybe I'm the only crazy one.....but check it out and see if you do it too!

The Rigney's come to Visit

Our friends Joe and Rocky Rigney came to visit with their two children Jarret (left- 9 weeks) and McKenzie (center - 21 months). We had fun catching up and watching our kids interact. We've already started training McKenzie that Nico's her future husband with the stipulation that the Rigney's pay for the wedding.

A Relaxing weekend and Fortuna Trip

Weekend before last we had a very relaxing weekend at home. We spent the weekend doing quality things as a family and relaxing-I didn't know what to do with myself-I wasn't packing or unpacking a bag for a change! Nico had a great time in his excersaucer........

On Wednesday Nico and I headed to Fortuna to spend a long weekend with my parents. It was Nico and I's first road trip by ourselves it went great.....we are so lucky to have a great traveler. On Thursday my mom and I went shopping for 30 underprivileged and foster children. Every year the girls in my family volunteer at this camp. We cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 80 people for a week. My Aunt Sandra is the director of this camp so my mom is in charge of finding the kids birthday gifts (many of these kids have never had a birthday gift). The last day of camp we throw the kids a birthday party and give them their gifts. This year I won't be able to attend the camp so I told my mom I would help with the birthday shopping for the camp. My mom, Nico and I spent 8 hours at Target. Nico was the best! He loved looking at all the people and toys (I told you he was nosy). We were exhausted after our shopping adventure and we left with a car full of toys! It is worth it because these kids are so awesome and appreciative. We are always looking for donations so if you would like to know more information about the kids and the camp or would like to make a donation.. feel free to let me know-its such a great cause!

Marc met up with us on Friday to spend the rest of the weekend with us. We went to dinner with my family at the Scotia Pub. My cousin Angi and her mom opened the restaurant a few months back and this was our first time eating there. It was great and we enjoyed spending the evening there.

Nico is into grabbing everything these days.....you have got to watch those quick hands. While we were at the Pub he grabbed a wine glass and put it up to his mouth like he was going to drink from it. It was hilarious. I think we might have another wino in the family.

A trip to Fortuna would not be complete without seeing Auntie Sarah and Uncle Pat. We went to Auntie Sarah's and Uncle Pat's for a glass of wine....Nico got his first view of a dairy cow up close and personal. Thanks Auntie Sarah and Uncle Pat for the fun afternoon.

4 Months and Baptism

Nico turned 4 months last week. I can't believe how fast these 4 months have gone. I know I say that every month but it is amazing! We took him to the doctor this week and he weighed 12 lbs13 oz and is 24.5 inches! He is on the small side (who would have thought?) the doctor didn't seem concerned because he gave us the green light to start rice cereal and he should be gaining more weight as he eats more. Nico's latest developments.......laughs, loves to look at himself in the mirror (he gets that from Marc....), is mesmerized with Vino, talks more everyday, can play longer in his excersaucer, has discovered his toes and is sooooo nosy.......I have never seen anything like it....he is hysterical! If I'm nursing him and someone comes in the room he stops nursing turns his head around and checks out who's talking to me! I will have to catch it on camera..........

This is for Tim and Chris..(of course Uncle Tim would get him this onesie-maybe Uncle Tim could find one for him to wear on his honeymoon)

The Long Lost Summer......

Can I say we have been BUSY!!!!! The summer started with wrapping up Cherry Season! We had a very busy 8 week cherry season and we were happy for Summer to get underway. Well lets just say it has been a blur ever since. My cousin and best friend-Michele got married on June 19th. I was the Matron of Honor and so it kept Nico and I very busy with helping her with last minute details as well as the wedding. Everything turned out beautiful and we had "the best time". After Michele's wedding we celebrated Father's Day. The following weekend we left for Santa Cruz for Marc's annual family trip. From Santa Cruz we left for the House boat with my family for a week. Can I just say Nico is getting used to the good life:-)! We have been very lucky to have spent the last three weeks with family and friends and Nico has gotten very spoiled! If you would like a complete update on the Busalacchi happenings you will have to check older posts as I have done about 5 posts this evening to try and get caught up.......I will be better about posting as Nico turns 4 months tomorrow and he is going to be baptized on Saturday.

4th of July

Every year Marc's family rents a beach house in Santa Cruz for a week during the July 4th holiday. We spend a week relaxing at the beach, bike riding, going to the boardwalk, playing beach volleyball, and watching fireworks. It was fun having Nico this year and he was a big hit with all the cousins........we will see next year when he is old enough to take their toys! We left Santa Cruz late Saturday night so we could get home to unpack and repack for the house boating trip on Monday!

This is our 6th year houseboating with the Murphy's. We went to Lake Berryessa for the first time this year. We would highly reccomend this lake as well as houseboating. Houseboating is one of Marc and I's favorite vacations. We spend a week of wake boarding, floating in the lake, fishing, and eating way too much! It is always an adventure! A few years ago we named our boat the Red Neck Yacht club....yes after the song. Our boat is complete with tiki torches, AstroTurf, and a party barge-and we do look like a floating trailer park!

3 Months and Tim and Chris's Shower

I'm a little behind with posting but will try and get caught up this week. Nico turned 3 months last week....I don't know where time goes. He is still a very happy easy going baby. He smiles all day long and Mom and Dad can't get enough of it. We went to the doctor on Monday and Nico weighed 12lbs 70z. Such a big boy! Nico also has another new toy! He loves his chair......it has a tray with a Ferris wheel type toy and he can play with it for a long time. It helps me get a few things done around the house.

Two weekends ago we went to Tim and Chris's couple shower in Redwood City. We had such a great time visiting with friends we don't get to see very often and we can't wait for Tim and Chris's wedding in August. In the past 8 months three of the couples have had babies and we were all at the party.......wow have things changed over the past year! Well I thought I had better get these posted before too much time had gone by. These pictures were from almost 2 weeks ago. Nico is really a strong baby and his Auntie Sharon thought for sure he was ready for the Johnny Jump Up....so she purchased one for him. We had to put a stool under his feet but he kinda liked it. He was able to push up and down a little but he especially loved chewing on the tray. Later in the day we made 9 lasagnas with Auntie Sharon and Nico loved the Hand Mixer. We have a chef in the making!

I found Jeneanne online and couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Jeneanne spent three hours with us....she was so patient and let Nico take his time nursing, changing diapers and he even peed on her! She was so patient. Erin's Wedding

Erin and JD were married on Saturday in San Francisco. The wedding was beautiful and we had the best time. Marc and I met Erin in college-we all lived in the dorms and she lived across the hall from me. We have been good friends ever since. Below are a few pictures from the evening.

Nico's First Trip to the Lake

On Monday we took the day off-with cherries and Marc's regular job we have been working for three weeks straight so Monday was a much needed day off! We left in the morning and headed to Lake Berryessa. We are houseboating for a week in July and have never been to the lake so we wanted to check out the Marina and lake. What a beautiful day it was! It was in the mid 90's and the water temperature was amazingly warm for the time of year. We boated to the shore and set-up camp. Nico was decked out in his board shorts! He loved being outside and on the water. We can't wait for July and houseboating!

Farmers Market, Mother's Day, Two Months, Rolling over and Wine tasting

Cherry Season has begun. Nico has been going to Farmers Market the past few weekends. He loves being outside and on the go. Nico is definitely our child.....the busier he is the happier he is! He is such a happy baby but he likes to be moving and on the go all the time! Nico is sleeping through the night. He goes to bed around 9 and sleeps til 5:30 then he feeds and goes down until round 8. We are so lucky!

Marc made my first Mother's Day so special. He fixed the most amazing dinner and had family over. I feel way to young to be celebrating Mother's Day-but wouldn't change it for the world!

Two Months

Nico turned two months on the 15th. I can't believe it! We are enjoying every second with him and feel he is growing up too fast! Nico started rolling over this past week. The first time he rolled over I thought it was an accident and then he did it again a day later.....so I still think it was a fluke.......then yesterday he rolled over three times and twice today. He has rolled both from his stomach to his back and from his back to his stomach. He amazes us with how strong he is!

He kicked over a block and thought he was really funny! Its quite a challenge to get the blocks lined up and I just get them straight and he kicks them over!

Nico's First Giants Game

Rob invited Nico and I to his first Giants game. Marc was invited but had to work a Farmers Market. We missed him but look forward to our first game as a family. The Giants won in extra innings and we had so much fun at the park. Nico was awake the first three innings-he loves being outside so he was perfectly content. I have been to At&T park numerous times but bringing Nico for the first time made it feel extra special. I look forward to taking him when he is a little older so he can enjoy it more.

Weekend before last the Kernals came to visit. The weather was so beautiful we decided to head to the beach. We had such a fun and relaxing day. Nico loved the beach........he slept all afternoon. Vino loved playing at the beach too! We loved spending time with the Kernals and maybe one day we will live closer to each other!

Birthdays

We had lots to celebrate this past week. Suzanne, Sharon, My Grandfather (Bopa) and Brother Rob all had birthdays. We did lots of eating and had a great time seeing family and friends.

Suzanne, Bopa and Sharon all celebrating their birthdays on the 22nd. We had a great dinner and finished with a yummy cake.

We then headed to Stockton to celebrate my Brother Rob's birthday. We went to Sushi with Mike and Michele, Collin and Jake. Once again we had a great meal as well as great company!

On Friday we had lunch with the Coldani's and Kernal. Nico met Giada for the first time. They were on opposite schedules so we didn't get a picture of both of them awake. Giada and Nico are 7 weeks apart.

On Friday night-Rob's roommate Collin hosted a birthday party for Rob and made him wear his Burning Man costume. Here is a picture of Rob with all the ladies at the party. Marc and I enjoyed a few hours out-we left Nico with Nonna and Nonno.

We came home Saturday to get ready for the week because next weekend starts Cherry Season! We are going to be very busy bees!

Hannah was born 4/4/09. Meghan and I grew up together and we were due a month apart. Hannah and Nico are three weeks apart almost to the day. On Tuesday we prepared dinner and took it to them. We enjoyed a fun evening filled with eating, nursing, changing diapers and sharing parental advice. Boy have have our lives changed! Marc and I left there house realizing how quickly Nico has changed over the past month. Hannah was 6lbs 5oz so very close to Nico's birth weight and Nico looks so big next to Hannah. Hannah also slept most of the evening and Nico was awake and wanting to be entertained. Marc and I look forward to the many adventures with the Healds. Below are pictures from the evening.

Easter, Katie's Wedding, and Nico's First Party

We have had a very busy couple of weeks. Weekend before last we went to Marc's parents who hosted an open house for family and friends to meet Nico. Nico loved his first party. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends. This past weekend we went to Redding to attend our friend Katie Meyer's wedding. On Sunday we left for Linden where we had Easter at Steve and Carla's. It has been a fun filled week and Nico is a great traveler. Nico is growing by the second, on Thursday he weighed in at 8lbs 90z, he is definitely more alert as well.

We introduced Nico to wine tasting this past weekend. Auntie Sarah and Karen came down to visit for the day on Saturday so we decided to pack a picnic because it was so beautiful and head out to Stryker for a little wine tasting.

Another great week with Nico. Marc and I have been so lucky to have such a happy and content baby. We have settled into a great routine. Nico goes to bed at 10 sleeps until 2 feeds and sleeps again until approximately 6. This makes for a very happy Mommy and Daddy. Nico's favorite thing to do is eat. We are on a 3 hour feeding schedule and he was weighed today and weighs 7lbs 3 oz. He gained 1 lb 3 Oz's in a week! He has now passed his birth weight and will be out of the Newborn clothes in the next few days.

Vino on the other hand is learning to adjust. The other night we caught Vino pulling out all of his toys and then sleeping on them! I think he was looking for a little attention.

Nico loves his evenings with Dad and this is his favorite position.

We have had the most wonderful week of our lives and we have been enjoying it so much that we have gotten behind on our blogging. We feel so blessed and look forward to the many weeks ahead.

The Saturday night before the scheduled birth Auntie Suzy hosted a BBQ dinner at her house so the whole family could get together. We had such a great time reminiscing about the past and the last nine months. Everyone in attendance got in on a pool to guess the weight of the baby.

Nico Victor Busalacchi was born on March 15th 2009 at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa. He weighed 6 lbs. 10 ozs. and was 19.25 inches long. Mom and Baby are both healthy.
