Getting Ready for Baby B

WOW.....has time flown by..........I can't believe it is time for Baby B's arrival! We have been busy getting ready for the Baby. We tried the version a second time and it didn't work. Baby B is very happy with his head in my ribs and he plans on staying there until he makes his appearance in this world. We have a c-section scheduled for this Sunday at noon. I will be 39 weeks and when they plan a c-section they like to do it at 39 weeks so you don't go into labor. I have been feeling good........my blood pressure has been great. They are monitoring me twice a week to be sure I don't have any problems....but so far so good. I feel very fortunate to be feeling as well as I do. With the Baby coming in 4 days I have been busy tying up loose ends and enjoying the last few days of quiet time with Marc.

My 38 week belly-WOW has it grown!
Here are a few more shots of Baby B's room (yes, we still don't have a name picked out). We decided to go with a vintage toy theme. We have a few sentimental items in there as well.

Here is where I will be spending a lot of time changing diapers! The picture on the wall is Marc's when he was little..... his Grandma Mary made him this picture and it means a lot to Marc. Its really special to have something of Marc's in our babies room.

Here is Marc's Dad's boxing gloves when he was little. We tied ribbon to them and they are hanging on the wall.
I think I will be spending lots of time with Baby B in this rocker. It is so comfy and I find myself already sitting in the room day dreaming about what it will be like to hold my son for the first time.

Baby B Update

I had my 36 week appointment today. I have been battling high blood pressure for the past few weeks and at times felt it could have been self induced. I wasn't feeling that great the last few days-I was having pretty severe headaches so I was taking it real easy. So when I went for my normal appointment I was told that my blood pressure was 138 over 95 (not good). They did a quick ultra sound and Baby B is still breach so they admitted me to the hospital to be monitored and have blood work done. Since I was already at the hospital they felt they should try the version. What a day! Marc and I had planned to go to the doctors appointment and then run errands-I guess this is the first lesson in parenthood-you must remain flexible!

They tried the version and the baby wouldn't move. He is happy where he is and if he decides to move he will do it in his own time. The doctor said he would be willing to try the version next week if baby was in a different position but if not we would need to schedule a c-section! I'm a little bummed about the c-section but it is out of my control and looking on the bright side I can pick a date (which works for my planning personality)! So if we end up with a c-section it will probably be around the 14th or 15 of March-which means only 2.5 weeks! Pregnancy has gone by so fast. They are going to monitor me pretty close because of my blood pressure to be sure it doesn't turn into full blown Preeclampsia. Right now I have been diagnosed with PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension) Basically a fancy name for High Blood Pressure. So I will keep you updated on any news of Baby B's arrival but as of now things are looking around the 15th of March!

Windsor Shower

My Aunt Sharon hosted a beautiful baby shower for Boom Boom (that is what she calls Baby B) and myself and Saturday. I had the best time and enjoyed the yummy brunch as well as the great company. I had family come from near and far and really appreciated their effort to be there. We are so lucky to have such generous family and friends. Baby B is already so spoiled and he is not even here yet!

Here is my fun and crazy family enjoying Vodka Fizzes! Don't worry girls it won't be long and I will be enjoying them with you!

Doctors Appointment

I had my 35 week appointment today (I can't believe that I'm 35.5 weeks already). We had an ultra sound and baby looks good and healthy. The baby is still in the breach position. He has been breach for the past 3 weeks. So I need all the positive thoughts before next week because if he is still breach they will do a version (where they try and move him). I hear this is not very comfortable and I would prefer not to have to go through this. I will update you with a belly shot when Marc gets home to take a picture. The belly is growing by the day and I can't believe that Baby B is going to be here in a few weeks!
