November and Beginning of December Update....

I know I have been very bad with my updates.......I have had requests for belly shots, people wanting to know what we have been up to.....so here it is! The longest update in Blog History! Aside from trying to update my blog four different times and failing due to technical difficulty errrr we have been out of town traveling to Stockton 3 times and Fortuna in the past month. We went to Stockton first for Charlie's (Marc's Dad) birthday. Marc and I made dinner and had our nieces and nephews as well as Paul and Mickie and Rita and Charlie for dinner. It was fun seeing the family and it is always the cutest when the kids sing Happy Birthday and we have to blow out the candles over and over again!
Too funny not to post........Paul's idea of cleaning up the table......we had served rice and the kids had rice everywhere (I guess I will find out soon enough the things you will do to clean something up quickly!) Yes he is vacuuming the table!

We spent Thanksgiving in Stockton this year with Marc's family. Thanksgiving was loaded with lots of food, parties and family. We were in Stockton for almost a week so we were able to spend quality time with our adorable niece and nephews. Below is a picture of our nephews Stevie and Marco playing the piano on Thanksgiving. I just loved their baret's.

Marc, his Zia Anna, cousin David and Mom Rita busy in the kitchen. I was in charge of cooking the turkey this year as well as the stuffing and gravy. Marc had volunteered my turkey recipe because he thought it was so good last year........the pressure was on as I know how important food is to the Busalacchi's and they are all such wonderful cooks. Well, my turkey was a hit......Charlie claims it is the best turkey he has ever eaten. So for those of you who need to impress your in-laws next year with your Turkey cooking skills-I've got the recipe!

We attended Marc's 10 year class reunion the day after Thanksgiving. Marc was in charge of decorations so we spent the next day preparing for the reunion. The reunion was a blast and Marc really enjoyed catching up with old friends and reminiscing about the good ole days! (I don't have pictures due to technical difficulty). Saturday after Thanksgiving was an annual bagna calda feast.............off to another party!

It was time for relaxation. My aunt Sharon, my pilates instructor Rosie and I decided a few months back that we should go get pedicures, have dinner and go Christmas shopping. Was this ever needed after the craziness of the past few weeks! We had a wonderful relaxing time at the spa and enjoyed a delicious dinner. We have decided that this needs to be an annual event as this time of year is always busy and stressful and good friends and relaxation hits the spot! Look forward to next year girls!

Marc and I have a tradition to always go and get our tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So this year like every Christmas before Marc, my brother Rob, and I went out to find our tree. This year however, I found the tree I liked right away----typically Rob and Marc spend hours pulling out the Christmas trees until I find the perfect one! Boy were they glad to find it right away too! Sunday afternoon we spent decorating our tree. I just love this time of year! Above is our Christmas tree and my almost 25 week belly-Baby Busalacchi is growing by the day!

Here is a picture of the outside of our house all decorated. Thanks to Rob, Marc and Auntie Sharon it is looking beautiful!

This past weekend I headed to Fortuna to watch my cousin Lucas play in a basketball tournament. It was fun being back at my high school gym and suporting Lucas. Yes-Lucas's basketball team (Cardinal Newman) played Fortuna in the championship game. It was very exciting and Lucas had an incredible game scoring 22 points and was named the MVP of the tournament. One of Marc and I's favorite thing to do is watch Lucas play basketball. We absolutely love basketball and we love watching Lucas play. We are looking forward to the season getting underway and its hard to believe next year we will be toting our almost one year old to the game to watch Lucas play! Scary! Below is a picture of the whole family after the championship game. Way to go Lucas!

Marc headed to Stockton for the annual salami and sausage making at his ranch. He was bummed to miss Lucas's game but I kept him updated via text every few minutes! I don' t have pictures of the sausage and salami making yet-but I'm told there is a darling picture of Marc with his nephew making salami-will have to update next time.
So my goal for these coming weeks and from now on is too not get so far behind with my blogging. I will be better I promise. Off to Stockton in the morning for another party-so will have a post this week. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!
