4 Months and Baptism

Nico turned 4 months last week. I can't believe how fast these 4 months have gone. I know I say that every month but it is amazing! We took him to the doctor this week and he weighed 12 lbs13 oz and is 24.5 inches! He is on the small side (who would have thought?) the doctor didn't seem concerned because he gave us the green light to start rice cereal and he should be gaining more weight as he eats more. Nico's latest developments.......laughs, loves to look at himself in the mirror (he gets that from Marc....), is mesmerized with Vino, talks more everyday, can play longer in his excersaucer, has discovered his toes and is sooooo nosy.......I have never seen anything like it....he is hysterical! If I'm nursing him and someone comes in the room he stops nursing turns his head around and checks out who's talking to me! I will have to catch it on camera..........

This is for Tim and Chris..(of course Uncle Tim would get him this onesie-maybe Uncle Tim could find one for him to wear on his honeymoon)

Vino is so patient with Nico

Baptsim

A few more pictures of Nico at his Baptism that I thought I should add-they are a little out of order but for some reason my computer only lets me upload four pictures at a time-so that is why I have so many posts for a single post.

Nico in his christening gown-Marc's grandparents brought it back from Italy before Carla was born Marc and his siblings wore it as well as our niece and nephews.

This was funny-Nico was the only child that would look at the camera!
This was after the party-Nico was so pooped he fell asleep amazing considering how fast Marc moves:-))

The Long Lost Summer......

Can I say we have been BUSY!!!!! The summer started with wrapping up Cherry Season! We had a very busy 8 week cherry season and we were happy for Summer to get underway. Well lets just say it has been a blur ever since. My cousin and best friend-Michele got married on June 19th. I was the Matron of Honor and so it kept Nico and I very busy with helping her with last minute details as well as the wedding. Everything turned out beautiful and we had "the best time". After Michele's wedding we celebrated Father's Day. The following weekend we left for Santa Cruz for Marc's annual family trip. From Santa Cruz we left for the House boat with my family for a week. Can I just say Nico is getting used to the good life:-)! We have been very lucky to have spent the last three weeks with family and friends and Nico has gotten very spoiled! If you would like a complete update on the Busalacchi happenings you will have to check older posts as I have done about 5 posts this evening to try and get caught up.......I will be better about posting as Nico turns 4 months tomorrow and he is going to be baptized on Saturday.

Congratulations Mike and Michele!

Father's Day

We enjoyed celebrating Marc's first Father's Day with our Dad's on Father's Day. We started out at Farmers Market and then afterwards we came to our house and had dinner with our parents.

Our Father's with Marc and Nico-We are so lucky to have such great Dad's!
3 generations- Charlie, Marc and Nico Busalacchi
Nico gave Marc a Daddy and Me book If I could talk I would tell you....it had pictures of the pregnancy all the way through 3 months and it would say for example If I could talk I would tell you that I loved it when you held me for the first time and it had a picture of Marc holding Nico for the first time. Marc loved it and I was so proud because I was able to totally surprise Marc with it!

Santa Cruz

Let the vacations begin!
Nico with his cute hat from the Avansino's-He was ready for the beach with his whale outfit
Nico's first ride on the Merry Go Round at the Boardwalk
Enjoying the nice afternoon at the Boardwalk with Mom and Dad
Nico's first trip to Gayle's Bakery in Capitola. It is a Busalacchi tradition to go to Gayle's bakery everyday while on vacation in Santa Cruz for bread. The vacation would not be complete without Marc and Nico going to Gayle's.

4th of July

Every year Marc's family rents a beach house in Santa Cruz for a week during the July 4th holiday. We spend a week relaxing at the beach, bike riding, going to the boardwalk, playing beach volleyball, and watching fireworks. It was fun having Nico this year and he was a big hit with all the cousins........we will see next year when he is old enough to take their toys! We left Santa Cruz late Saturday night so we could get home to unpack and repack for the house boating trip on Monday!

Houseboating 2009

This is our 6th year houseboating with the Murphy's. We went to Lake Berryessa for the first time this year. We would highly reccomend this lake as well as houseboating. Houseboating is one of Marc and I's favorite vacations. We spend a week of wake boarding, floating in the lake, fishing, and eating way too much! It is always an adventure! A few years ago we named our boat the Red Neck Yacht club....yes after the song. Our boat is complete with tiki torches, AstroTurf, and a party barge-and we do look like a floating trailer park!
